Meet Shannon!

I have been working with children and families as a nanny, a tutor, and in preschools and elementary schools since 2006. I graduated top of my class from the University of Hartford with degrees in Elementary and Special Education and spent 8 years as a proud public school teacher in Washington D.C. 

After struggling with my own daughter's sleep challenges as a baby, I dove deep into sleep science and sleep training options and went on to getting my Sleep Consultant Certification so that I could hopefully help other families after I helped my own. In 2020 I started my own small Sleep Consulting business, Nights & Naps, and have gone on to work with over 200 families! 

Almost 5 years later, when I am not with my own two children, cooking up plant-based recipes, teaching at The Island School, or helping families transform sleep in their homes, I train and mentor new Sleep Consultants!
